# LinkedIn Company Logo Size: Prepare a 400×400 Image

Fit a company logo to LinkedIn's recommended 400×400 Page canvas. Preserve a wide wordmark with padding and inspect a small identity mark before export.

## Which dimensions should you use?

LinkedIn recommends 400×400 pixels for a Page logo; its minimum is 268×268. Page images use PNG or JPEG with a maximum size of 3 MB.

## Check the crop and prepare your image

Calculate from pixel dimensions, or choose a photo for an actual preview and download. This prepares the image canvas; check file-size limits and the destination’s final crop separately.

## Compose this image

Use contain for a wide wordmark to preserve its letters; fill is useful only if cropping the mark is intentional.

The exporter flattens images onto white. Review the logo's contrast on that background.

Check that the mark remains recognizable when displayed much smaller than the upload canvas.

## A worked example

A 1200×400 source fills this 400×400 canvas with a crop of about 400×400 source pixels, retaining 33.3% of its area. Filling needs no enlargement. A square fill removes two thirds of a wide source's area; contain is usually preferable for a complete wordmark.

## Before you upload

- Use the Page logo slot rather than the personal photo slot.
- Inspect every letter or symbol after export.
- Compare the logo with the existing Page cover in the actual Page preview.

“Keep whole image” is also called fit or contain; it adds white borders instead of trimming the scene. The exporter sets pixel dimensions and placement. It does not enforce platform byte limits or predict every device’s display crop. ## Questions about LinkedIn Company Logo

### Should I crop a wordmark to fill the square?

Only if the cropped design remains your intended identity. Padding is often a better choice than deleting letters to fill the box.

### Will the export keep a transparent logo background?

No. This tool produces an opaque canvas. Inspect the white background or use a transparency-capable editor if needed.
