Supported upload formats
- JPG / JPEG (recommended)
- PNG (recommended for scans with text or sharp edges)
- WebP (supported)
- HEIC / HEIF (converted securely in your browser)
- BMP (including common scanner and Windows BMP variants)
If your scanner exports TIFF or another specialist format, convert the file to JPG or PNG first. You can use our free image converter to convert before restoring or upscaling.
Supported downloads
Your results download as standard image files with the correct file extension, so they open properly on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Restoration and upscaling downloads are typically JPG or PNG.
- Background removal downloads may include transparency (PNG).
- Batch downloads are provided as a zip file of images.
Limits and recommendations
- You can upload up to 10 photos per restoration/upscale job.
- Large images may take longer to upload and process. If an upload fails, try exporting as JPG and reducing the file size with our image compressor.
Common issues
- File won't upload: try converting to JPG/PNG or reducing the file size.
- Looks blurry: upload the original file instead of a screenshot or messaging-app copy.
- Colors look off: avoid pre-applied filters and upload a clean scan/photo when possible.
