Editorial Policy

How RestoreBunny researches, writes, reviews, and corrects its photo restoration guides.

What our guides are for

RestoreBunny publishes practical guidance for digitising, restoring, and preserving family photographs. Articles should help a reader make a safe, informed decision before uploading or handling an irreplaceable print.

Research and sources

Preservation and handling advice is checked against public guidance from archives, libraries, museums, and conservation organisations. When a claim depends on an external authority, the article links to that source in a visible Sources section.

Product facts are checked against RestoreBunny's current application, pricing, privacy, and help pages. We do not publish invented test results, customer numbers, credentials, or performance claims.

AI restoration limits

Digital restoration can improve a copy without repairing the physical object. AI may infer plausible pixels where the source contains blur or missing information; those pixels are not recovered historical evidence. Our guides tell readers to keep the untouched scan and compare faces, text, uniforms, jewellery, and other identity details before archiving a result.

Safety and conservation

We distinguish digital editing from physical conservation. Active mould, wet or flaking emulsions, photographs stuck to glass, unknown historic processes, and valuable originals may need a qualified photograph conservator. Our articles do not replace professional conservation advice.

Updates and corrections

Every guide shows its publication or latest review date. We update articles when product behaviour, source guidance, or a material fact changes. Send a correction with the page URL and supporting evidence to support@restorebunny.com.

Commercial transparency

RestoreBunny's guides may link to its own restoration product. Those links do not change the safety advice, limitations, or comparisons in an article. We clearly distinguish a free tool, a starter allowance, and a paid credit pack.
